Summary: Fantastic view, congenial host, comfortable, spacious, well-outfitted kitchen, lots of light, island breezes, birdsong in the morning, dining on the lanai, solid construction, books, games, laundry, comfortable bedding, linens, and even beach towels. Easy access to neighborhood shops, groceries, and restaurants. Beaches, museums, the University of Hawaii, and other attractions are only a few minutes away by car, and the city bus stop is practically outside the door. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the month of May in Honolulu.Two considerations that might be more important for some guests than for us: 1. Cooling is almost entirely by open windows and ceiling fans. Not a problem for us, though, as we far prefer it to AC.2. Although the house is in a generally quiet residential neighborhood, there are an astonishing number of noisy cars passing by in the evening, so guests who are sensitive to noise might want to bring earplugs, though we didn't need them.
